This morning at about 6:30 am, our Sr Cecile peacefully returned her life breath to the one who gave it. The community gathered in her room to share one last moment in her company and bid her farewell until we meet again. The celebration of Christmas gives particular poignancy to our fifth loss this year, but there is real joy in celebrating her new birth in the Christ-Child.
"And now at last all-powerful Master, you give leave to your servant to go in peace, according to your promise. For my eyes have seen your salvation which you have prepared for all nations, the light to enlighten the Gentiles and give glory to Israel, your people. " (Luke 2:29)
