Sr Evelyn Celebrates her Golden Jubilee

On June 6th, Feast of Mary, Mother of the Church, we celebrated with our Sr Evelyn her fifty years of monastic profession.

By Sr Evelyn's choice, it was a quiet family celebration, with liturgy for Our Lady, followed by our house custom of the abbess' talk on the jubilarian's special gifts.  Later on we enjoyed delicious meal with conversation, a movie of Sr Evelyn's choice, and we closed the day with a gathering to listen to the jubilarian's words of wisdom (and humor).  All in all, a good day was had by all.  We go forward with hope and joy in what God can do in the life of one who allows him to have his way in her.
