Visit from Sr Judith Schubert, RSM, PhD

July 1, 2016The community was delighted to welcome Sr Judith Schubert, RSM, PhD for a visit of several days and a series of conferences on Prayer in the Bible. Sr Judy is a close friend of our Mother Maureen, and they share a passion for the Word of God.
In the course of the conferences we learned more about the depth of meaning hidden in the Hebrew and Greek words used in key passages concerning prayer in the Hebrew Bible and the New Testament. Sr Judy emphasized the communal nature of prayer in the scriptures - that one is never alone when praying, even when separated from others in time or space.
