On Saturday, June 30th, we celebrated our Sister Peter's 60th anniversary of monastic vows. Mass featured music and songs specially chosen by the jubilarian, including Psalm 139 recited by Sr Peter herself:
"You have searched me, Lord, and you know me. You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar. You discern my going out and my lying down; you are familiar with all my ways."
The highlight was to witness to witness Sr Peter renew her vows.
Afterwards, the celebration continued with the sharing of a delicious meal with a large group of guests - Sr Peter's friends from near and far.
Entertainment was provided by the sisters, including a flute duet by Srs Maria and Ana Laura, and Welsh folk songs by Srs Sofia and Christina.
The unquestionable high point of the afternoon, though, was a skit about our Gift Shop performed by Sr Peter herself, together with her "side kick" Sr Rita. Here is the flying sock finale.
All in all, a wonderful time was had by all. Thank you to all who enriched our day by your presence and prayers!
