We were delighted to welcome John Robinson and his wife Emma, on Sunday afternoon for an organ recital. Mr Robinson is currently choir director at the Boston Boy Choir School at St Paul's Church in Harvard Square. An Englishman, he was an organ scholar at St John’s College Cambridge, and then was organist at Carlisle and Canterbury Cathedrals.
Mr Robinson played a series of pieces by composers Willam Byrd, Peter Philps, J.S. Bach, as as well as a piece composed by one of our sisters. We were amazed to watch the nimbleness of fingers and feet which brought about the magnificent sound we were hearing. It was a wonderful treat for all who heard it.
